Tom Jackson, alongside manager Graham Drury, met up with some of the young goalkeepers at the football club.
Since joining Stamford from North Ferriby in the summer, Jacko has cemented his spot as Drury’s first choice between the sticks and as a firm favourite at the Zeeco Stadium.
Before putting in another man of the match performance in the Daniels’ 2-0 defeat to Stratford Town, Jacko and Drury made the time to come and meet some of the Young Daniels’ goalkeepers at a Young Stoppers session.
Jacko and Drury spoke with all the young goalkeepers, ranging from seven to 14 years old, and posed for pictures. Additionally, Jackson presented a signed pair of gloves to the group, which were won on the day by Under-10s goalkeeper Myles Ward.
Young Daniels coach Aaron Gratton said: “It was fantastic for Graham and Jacko to come down and meet the boys.
“We are lucky to be part of such a fantastic and supportive football club, and when the senior side comes down to meet with the Young Daniels players it makes for great memories to take away with them.
“There are some talented young goalkeepers at the football club, and I would love to see one of them come through and take their place in the first team in the future.”
The club’s Young Stoppers goalkeeper sessions take place every Friday evening on the 3G at the football club. Please email aaron.gratton@stamfordafc.net with any interest.
